Silent Dismissal

Starting on Monday, March 3^rd Ferry Farm will be implementing silent bus dismissal in the afternoons. All buses and vans will be posted on the television. As buses arrive the TV will beep to trigger students’ attention to go out to their bus. During bus dismissal time, students will be expected have a quiet activity to keep them occupied such as a book. Silent bus dismissal will create a much calmer atmosphere in the afternoon for students.

We are always looking for opportunities to improve our school climate and to make school a more inviting place for students to learn. Other schools have had great success with silent dismissal. Silent dismissal will provide a time for silent sustained reading, homework or other quiet activities.
